OUR CORE SERVICES: 

Project Management

We have extensive experience of working across a full spectrum of small and large capital projects, spanning both public and commercial environments, understanding the unique nature and complexity of individual projects and the need to offer a varied and agile management approach. All projects which bring about any degree of change can represent significant risk for an organisation, we offer direction and assertive leadership to ensure projects are completed successfully, providing due consideration to business as usual activities which must be maintained throughout the process. 

We ensure that the Client’s interests are always protected, taking active ownership for all aspects of the project from project conception through to completion and aftercare is a key feature of our service delivery. 
This provides stability throughout the project life and ensures that project deliverables are achieved. We have extensive experience in establishing and leading complex team and stakeholder structures and have developed tools and systems to manage all aspects of the project which can be tailored to suit client needs. 

Estates Strategy & Development Advice

We have in depth experience of helping client’s build strategic objectives, outline briefs and business cases and developing initial budgets utilising cost planning and programming tools. This involves understanding client’s visions to offer ideas and solutions, preparing estate audits to assess condition and functional suitability, tenure, duplication of use, spacial optimisation, value and business change. 

Assessing shortfalls in a client’s estate via gap analysis focusing on costs efficiencies, location, quantity and quality of the space. Generation of options and their evaluation via additional site searches, possible acquisitions and reviewing town planning constraints and opportunities. Then formulating all the analysis undertaken to form comprehensive conclusions, recommendations, and route maps for follow on stages.

Contract Administration / Employers Agent roles

Depending on choice of procurement we can provide either the role of Contract Administrator or Employers Agent either as part of a Project Management appointment or as a separate function. Working with clients and their design teams to ensure their projects are delivered on time and to budget by administration of the chosen contract, managing change control processes, issuing instructions and certificates, certifying payments and evaluation of any claims for delay, disruption and loss and expense incurred. 

Our team will always go that extra mile to get the project done, managing risks and utilising effective communications throughout the project lifecycle.

Programme Management

Programme Management can only be successfully achieved by professionals with an understanding of the complex intermixing of projects from a strategic perspective. We have an excellent track record of working closely at senior levels within client organisations enabling key business decisions to be integrated at the project delivery level utilising process systems and planning tools to ensure that the most complex of project portfolios can be effectively controlled from an early stage in the project life cycle.

Principal Designer – CDM 2015

The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, (CDM Regulations 2015) apply to all construction and refurbishment projects including domestic clients commissioning work on their own homes. Our organisation is well qualified in providing Principal Designer services and offer a full or tailored service to meet requirements of the regulations and client needs.

Building Surveying, condition and dilapidation surveys

Buildings are valuable assets that need maintaining so their values are realised and enhanced. Our experienced surveyors offer a range of services to suit individual Client needs. These encompass building surveys, schedule of conditions, measured surveys, dilapidation surveys, party walls and rights of light matters and reinstatement surveys.

As management consultants our specialisms cover a broad range of disciplines. In addition to our core services we can offer the following areas of expertise either jointly or in isolation to our core services: 

Project Sponsor

As Project Sponsor, we will work on behalf of the Client and protect their interests as the project develops. Construction projects are major organisation change events and can represent significant risk and can drain in-house resources at senior level. As Project Sponsor, we would ensure that the Client’s interests are always protected.

Project Recovery

The roles in project recovery vary immensely from a typical evaluation and reporting process on a current operating project, to a complete takeover of programme and project management responsibilities from existing teams. We have experience in providing these services or a hybrid offering which may be somewhere between. 

Project recovery may be required at any phase of the project life cycle and we can offer a service at any point. It is in the interests of Clients that failure is identified as early as practicable in the process as this will reduce the risk of failing to meet ultimate business objectives. 

In order to safeguard a project and provide proactive protection and dependent on the project’s status, varying services can be utilised such as project assurance, re-evaluation of business case, replacement project management, revised structures & methodology, revised consultant team, revised option/investment appraisals, revaluate project expenditure, robust risk management, review procurement contract arrangements, critical project analysis, brief evaluation & revised project scoping.

Commercial Management

Producing initial budgets and milestone cost estimates, project cost, procurement and contract advice, contract preparation and negotiation, tendering processes and associated recommendations. Managing implementation phase project cost control, change request assessment and dispute resolution.

Risk and Value Management

We recognise the importance of both Risk and Value Management as part of the procurement process. Traditional project management tools which have developed enormously in recent years and have been used extensively by our team. We are fully versed in the benefits that can be derived from the use of these tools either in isolation or collectively. Used in the correct context these have contributed significantly to client projects in ensuring that programmes are met, and valuable function achieved. 

We provide Risk Management and Value Management in conjunction with other Project Management Services or in isolation. Value management is not merely a vehicle to reduce project costs but is a means to achieve the highest possible performance with the available resources whether that be people, expenditure or programme.

Churn, migration, space and relocation management

The complexities of relocating business or merely the churn associated with internal moves cannot be underestimated. We are well versed in providing advice to clients on the most efficient ways to undertake this work and have managed the whole process on the client’s behalf ensuring limited disruption to business delivery. 

We believe that churn and relocation should not be considered in isolation and should form part of a broader property strategy which makes better use of space. Our experience of combining business strategy with effective space management can result in considerable financial gains without any loss from the serviced environment.

Peer reviews, due diligence and project appraisals/audits

We can offer project appraisals/audits to clients or funders providing comfort that their project is set up correctly and is functioning to the required standard with areas of concern quickly identified. Plans of action can then be put in place to resolve issues before they arise or escalate
